This powerful new feature helps you take control of your packing process by using your sales order data to generate a streamlined packing list based on your specific needs. Whether you need to organize sales orders by items, departments, or shipping routes, Pack Out provides the flexibility to pack more efficiently. Let’s dive into how this feature can help transform your workflow.
Why Pack Out?
Packing can be one of the most time-consuming parts of fulfilling orders. With Pack Out, we’ve made it easier to organize and manage your packing process by leveraging the sales order data you already have. Whether your goal is to Pack, Pick, or Load, this feature ensures your orders are packed in a way that fits your unique needs.
Pack Out offers three core features:
- Pack: Organize sales order data by individual sales orders. This helps ensure that each order is packed correctly and on time.
- Pick: Organize by departments or items, making it easy to pull all items from inventory based on what’s needed across all orders.
- Load: Organize by shippers or routes, simplifying the logistics of getting orders out the door efficiently.
When you navigate to the Pack Out page, you’ll see an organized view of all sales orders with a default Pack Date of today. This allows you to focus on what needs to be packed and shipped immediately. But we know not every operation works the same way, so we’ve made it easy to customize the data view to match your unique workflow.
Flexible Date Options
You can adjust the date type used to filter your data:
- Pack Date: For managing items that need to be packed today or by a specific date.
- Order Date: If you want to focus on when the order was placed.
- Delivery Date: To prioritize orders based on the expected delivery schedule.
In the future, we’ll also be adding Ship Date as a filter option, giving you even more control over how you organize your packing.
Customizable Date Ranges
Need to pack orders from a broader date range? Pack Out lets you easily adjust the date range, helping you manage packing across days, weeks, or even months. Plus, CLOSED sales orders are automatically excluded, so you can focus on active, open orders without any unnecessary clutter.
Powerful Search and Filter Options
To make your packing process even more efficient, Pack Out includes advanced search and filter functionality. You can quickly filter through your sales orders by a variety of criteria, ensuring you only see the orders you need to focus on.
Tip: Remember that searches are performed within whatever filters are already applied—so if you’re looking for something specific, make sure to adjust your filters accordingly for the best results.
Permissions and Entitlements
To access Pack Out, your organization will need to set up a new Pack Out entitlement, which includes all three core Packing Support features: Pack, Pick, and Load. Each user will need specific permissions to access this feature. Once enabled, you’ll notice that the “Logs” section in your navigation will update to “Operations”, where all your packing options will be housed.
