Web: Sales Order Feedback - Enhancing Usability and Fixing Bugs

We’re excited to announce our latest update, Sales Order Feedback. This release is all about responding quickly to customer feedback, addressing usability concerns, and fixing key issues to make your sales order process smoother and more reliable. Whether you’re managing sales orders, packing out, or loading up, these updates are designed to make your life easier. Let’s dive into the changes and improvements in this release!

Batch Updates Made Easier

One of the most significant updates in this release is the improvement of batch item updates. Now, you can quickly select multiple items and update their status, prices, or even delete them, streamlining your workflow when managing large numbers of orders or inventory.

Fixes for Pack Out and Load Up

We’ve also made improvements to our Pack Out and Load Up features to ensure that dates are correctly displayed and processed in the reports. We’ve removed the unnecessary “footer” that was originally meant for PDF exports, ensuring your reports are clean and clear.

Improvements to Batch Item Updates

Managing your inventory and pricing just got easier! You can now batch delete items or edit their prices directly from the Inventory/Item Library page. We’ve fixed issues that were causing problems when batch updating tiered prices and list prices, ensuring your item management is fast and hassle-free.

Pack Out and Load Up Enhancements

We’ve made several updates to improve the reporting and data display for both Pack Out and Load Up features:

  • Date Type and Display: The respective date type (Pack Date, Ship Date, etc.) will now be correctly displayed in report tables, providing more clarity.
  • Clearing Dates: We fixed an issue where clearing the date in a Pack Out report was breaking the report generation, ensuring that you can filter by any date range without issues.
  • PDF Footer Removal: The unnecessary footer in Pack Out PDFs has been removed, giving you cleaner, more professional reports.
  • Date Updates in Load Up: Changing the date type in Load Up reports will now correctly update the date displayed in the table, so your data is always accurate.

Admin Payments Management

We’ve also made it easier to manage payments. You can now log in directly to the admin panel from the web app to manage your payment methods, giving you more control and flexibility in handling transactions.

Bug Fixes and Minor Features

This release focuses heavily on resolving various issues reported by our users, ensuring a smoother experience when using sales orders. Here’s what we’ve fixed:

  • Batch Close Sales Orders: You can now batch select sales orders and update their status to “closed,” saving you time when managing multiple orders at once.
  • Customer Modifications: When modifying a customer on a sales order, we’ve improved the system to handle field updates properly. Now, if prices were originally populated based on the previous customer, they will be nullified to avoid errors when switching to a new customer.
  • Pre-filled Contact Information: When creating a new sales order, the contact field will now automatically pre-fill with the last used contact, making it easier to enter repeat orders for the same customer.
  • Improved Sales Order Counts: We fixed an issue where the UI was not correctly displaying the number of packed items. Now, both the list view and the detail page will show the correct counts, giving you a more accurate overview of your orders.
  • Zero-Price Items for Samples: For customers who need to add sample items with a price of $0.00 to sales orders, we’ve made this possible, accommodating a common business need.
  • Shipper Fixes: When creating a new shipper and saving it to a customer, the shipper was not being correctly populated into the form. This has been resolved, ensuring your shipping information flows correctly.
  • Price Population Issues: We addressed an issue where the last price used was not being populated into the sales order form. Now, pricing data will flow correctly, saving you from having to manually enter repeat information.
